👋 Hey Friend,

Welcome to Never Finished — the newsletter for professionals who are done applying to 200+ jobs and getting ghosted.

Every week, I share simple, proven ideas to help you land interviews on demand — no résumé roulette required.

Let’s get you moving again.

💭 Why your LinkedIn still isn’t getting you interviews

It’s 11:42 PM.

Your phone is glowing in the dark.
You’re scrolling through LinkedIn… again.
Checking notifications… again.
Refreshing your inbox… again.

And a quiet question keeps bothering you:

“I’m posting. I’m showing up.
So why am I STILL not getting interviews?”

And the part you don’t say out loud?

You’re running out of patience —
and you don’t know what else to try.

You feel visible.
But you don’t feel chosen.

Your posts get likes.
People comment “🔥 value!”
Your profile views climb.

But none of it becomes a referral.
None of it becomes a conversation.
None of it becomes an interview.

You don’t feel stuck.
You feel ignored.

And I know that feeling because I lived it for years.

🧩 The Real Problem

Most job seekers think they have a visibility problem.
So they chase more views… more likes… more posts.

But here’s the truth — the one most people avoid:

You don’t have a posting problem.
You have a courage problem.

You’re posting because it feels safe.
You’re not DMing because it feels uncomfortable.

Posting gives you dopamine.
DMs give you results.

But waiting for someone to reach out first?

That’s not a strategy.
That’s a trap.

I used to screenshot profile views like they meant progress.
I’d get excited when a recruiter liked my post…
and then feel that sinking feeling when nothing happened.

Until someone told me:

“Ajay… you’re making noise, not relationships.”

That line changed everything for me.

The Shift

Everything clicked the day I accepted this:

Interviews don’t come from your posts.
They come from your DMs.

Think about it:

Every opportunity you’ve ever had
started with a conversation —
never a like, never a view, never an emoji.

So I stopped asking:

“How do I get more followers?”

And started asking:

“How do I create more conversations?”

Here are real moments that happened because of ONE message:

Story 1 — A Comment → A Referral

A hiring manager liked my comment.
I DM’d him:
“Curious — what’s the biggest mistake candidates make?”

We talked.
He referred me.
Interview landed.

Story 2 — A Profile View → A Lead (Improved Flow)

A recruiter viewed my profile twice.
I messaged her:
“Hey! Saw you dropped by. Anything I can help with?”

We chatted for a bit — nothing forced, just normal conversation.
Then she said, “By the way, we’re hiring for a role you might like.”
She sent me the link.
Interview landed.

Story 3 — A Quiet Supporter → An Opportunity (Improved Flow)

Someone liked my posts three days in a row.
I messaged him:
“Thanks for supporting my posts — what do you do?”

We talked about his work and his team for a few minutes.
Then he mentioned they were growing.
I asked if I could learn more.
He connected me to the hiring manager.
Interview landed.

Micro Win — 8 Minutes

Last week, a hiring manager replied to one of my DMs in 8 minutes.

That’s when I realized:

One DM can do what 200 job applications can’t.

And the best part?
This entire system takes 10 minutes a day.

🎯 The DM Game Framework™

Visibility → Conversations → Trust → Referrals → Interviews

Here’s the simple 3-step system you can use today:

1️. 👀 Spot the Signals

Don’t wait for perfect moments.
Look for tiny ones:

• Someone liked your post
• Someone viewed your profile
• Someone replied to your comment
• Someone followed you
• Someone keeps showing up

These aren’t accidents.
These are open doors.

🧠 Try this:
Pick three people from your notifications in the last 48 hours.
DM them today.

2️. 💬 Send the 7-Second DM

You don’t need a pitch.
You don’t need a script.

Just be human.

Use this:

“Hey — thanks for engaging with my post.
What are you working on these days?”

That’s it.

🧠 Try this:
DM people within 24 hours.
Warm attention dies fast.

3️. 🤝 Turn the Chat Into a Referral (without begging)

Don’t ask for a referral.
Earn one by being someone worth recommending.

Ask about their team.
Ask about their challenges.
Ask what they’re building.

And when hiring comes up, say:

“If it makes sense, happy to throw my hat in — no pressure.”

Light.
Confident.
Respectful.

🧠 Try this:
End warm chats with:
“What’s something exciting happening on your team right now?”

This opens doors naturally.

🌅 Imagine This…

Imagine waking up to 2–3 warm conversations a week.
Imagine people telling you:

“We might be hiring.”
“I know someone you should talk to.”
“Want me to refer you?”

Imagine building momentum…
without applying to 200 jobs.

Your next interview isn’t hiding on a job board.
It’s sitting inside a conversation you haven’t started yet.

🧰 A Tool That Makes This Easier

I found something this month that made job hunting way less stressful — Huntr.

If your Google Sheet is a mess, this will save you.
You drag roles from Applied → Interview → Offer in seconds.

You can add notes and track everything clearly.
But the best part?

It turns rejection into data.

You start seeing what roles reply and what messages work.

📜 Quote of the Week

“Visibility gets you seen.
Connection gets you chosen.”

- Mark Schaefer

Most people will read this…
feel motivated…
agree with every word…

…and still do nothing.

Don’t be most people.

Send one DM today.
Your next interview might be eight minutes away.

If this hit home, forward it to someone who’s tired of applying to 200 jobs with zero results.
